Liz Clayton

Liz ClaytonLiz has been playing the flute for over 40 years. She studied with Janet West at Bolton School of Music gaining her theory and performance Associated Board examinations.

Liz has taught woodwind and theory at Bolton School of Music and privately ever since for over 10 years. She is currently studying for a Music Diploma with the Open University and is also completing a Music Educator Diploma at Manchester Music Base, where she also provides music theory lessons to vocal artists.

Liz worked as a Learning & Development Manager for a large utility company until recently but now combines her role as a pre-school music teacher with teaching flute and music theory to children and adults.

She is also a member of four bands and performs in their concerts on a regular basis, Smithills Community Wind Band, Smithills Community Big Band, Ringley Band and Worsley Band.
